Josh Wood (aka the smiling assassin) is a Sacramento lobbyist who is working for Region Builders Inc. Has anyone ever heard of Mr. Wood before this election cycle? I haven’t.
Why all of a sudden is this person so concerned with El Dorado County roads? He is not registered to vote in El Dorado County. I checked with the Elections Office and there is no one named Josh Wood in their records. So why does a Sacramento lobbyist for a “builders association” want to be involved with our election?
Read his ballot measure, Fix Our Local Roads, and you’ll see. If Mr. Wood’s measure passes, you and I as El Dorado County residents might just get our pockets picked. What Mr. Wood and his group want is to use the money that the voters of El Dorado County have designated for repairing local roads to be used instead to widen and improve Highway 50. He wants us to pay what for now is a builder’s fee for widening and maintaining Highway 50. Josh Wood and his buddies Scott McNeil, etc., have their hands in our pockets. And it ain’t because they’re being friendly.
Why has the Regional Builders Inc. spent so lavishly on getting a ballot measure qualified for November? Why have they been recruiting candidates for key positions in the county? I for one will not support any candidate that has taken a penny from the smiling assassin. Why anyone in El Dorado County would even think of voting for any of his henchmen is beyond me. Ask anyone running for office this election season if they are supported by the smiling assassin and then decide if you trust them. And you better ask anyone running for election in June if they’ve taken money from Parker Development because they are no better for El Dorado County.
