EDITOR: My, my, June Hoffman. Your letter regarding my take on the July 30 “Ramirez cartoons” was quite entertaining, but it seems that you missed my main point entirely.
My comment was directed to the quote below the cartoon, which has been debunked and determined by all to have been taken out of context by those who would disparage our president at any cost. Go back and look, and check the Internet for the entire quote “featured” in the Ramirez cartoon.
By the way, I find his cartoons enjoyable at times, but a little to the right for my political appetite, obviously. And speaking of editing and fact-checking, as you did, you (or the “Demo”) misspelled my name four times in your rebuttal letter. Case closed on editing.
And one more thing … I need to “change my attitude?” I would rather change newspaper allegiance. Always a possibility. My attitude and political leaning will remain the same.
As to your advice, “Think,” I do, quite a bit. And as a Democrat, I am still very friendly. Thanks for your lifestyle recommendations and for your final statement that “we all know,” and I agree. “The days that make us happy are the days that make us wise.”

I am happy to note that more and more Democrats are speaking out to the Mountain Democrat paper and website. For a long, long time there were only two or three of us -- not we are beginning to get a crowd who question the holy Tea/Republican word in El Dorado County.

James....There's no more new Democrats, just the same old tired Liberals posting under new names every 5 minutes...It happens on both sides of the isle, and I applaud you for being one of the only people who dont do it...The MD should make it mandatory for all people posting to use their real names just like when they submit a letter to the Editor.....Beside, it would also slowdown all those spineless worm-people with diarrhea of the mouth that grow internet muscles and talk smack to folks just because they can do it anonymously.
