He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ -- Luke 18:9-14

Mr Andrews, The library is a service like any other we have available to us: fire, police, water. It is for the whole community but especially for those who can't afford books or computers. These services raise the quality of a community.
From the Bible comes an appropriate verse: "For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required." -- Luke 12:48

Well you might ask the Board of Supervisors since they continue to create super powers at the county with super funding for super projects. It might have something to do with their priorities. Kinda like a bullet train thing or should I say a 5 million dollar bicycle path to nowhere... oh.. different funding...
