Media bias, or is it propaganda?

A new year is upon us, and finally some good news … So tired of the half-baked
gun-violence remedies from our “leader” and his minions, just a nagging burr in my
happy holiday blanket.

Fox News has just aired a piece by the NRA — blaming the media for gun
violence. Finally. I have continued to wonder why the elephant in the room, the
left-controlled media, has not been exposed for their full complicity in the murder
of our children. Sorry, but there’s no nice way to say it.

Think about it. Who among us did not hear about the Clackamas Mall shootings?
We have been saturated with the news of gun violence lately. Two weeks and
counting on the Sandy Hook killings … and it has all been about evil guns,
medicated or unmedicated deranged teenagers and “inadequate gun laws.” But
who of us heard anything on national television about all the facts? The untold
truth in both shootings was denied to us: the fact that the Clackamas Mall
shooter was stopped and shot himself when he was confronted by an armed
citizen with a legally concealed weapon; the Sandy Hook shooter who finally
committed suicide after shooting 26 people, when the police presented

In both cases, and throughout our land, killers are stopped by
someone with another gun.

How many more children and others would have been murdered if those “good”
guns hadn’t arrived when they did? Both shooters had plenty more ammo. Like
Wayne La Piere said recently, “The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a
gun … is a good guy with a gun. Guns are here. We cannot un-invent gunpowder nor can we remove guns from society since criminals will not forfeit their
guns … only law abiders will, which would leave us utterly defenseless.

So, the bigger question has to be:

Why does our media continue to hide these facts? Why is our media
allowed to keep the public in the dark
where positive prevention with legal guns are involved?

The reason I believe is they have an agenda … and the power of propaganda.
They have lost the reality of personal conscientious responsibility. They are not
just complicit, co-conspirators of the violent, they are unquestionably the
facilitators. Clearly they, and they alone, have deceived the public by
selectively withholding the truth about guns. The truth simply does not comport
with their ideology and thus continues to kill our children. Who knows how man y
more will die before they are brought to justice. Even Fox News has, not yet,
divulged the name of the Clackamas Mall hero who put his life in harm’s way to
prevent more innocent deaths that afternoon in Portland, so I will. He is 22-year-old Nick Meli. Thank you, Nick.

It is one thing for the media to withhold classified information to protect national
security, but to hide facts, facts necessary to make sound decisions, leaves our
children with no meaningful security at all. Worse, it creates the free fall of
delusional policy and truly stupid gun laws. When are they going to get it?
Criminals don’t abide by the law.

The reality is, gun-using criminals are but ignorant soldiers, exploited by an army
of truth-twisting media that, together continue to escalate gun violence, all for
the purpose of promoting the media’s agenda … repeal of the 2nd Amendment. And make no mistake, the blood of our children is on their hands.
The gun-toting psycho, the mentally tormented teen may have some quasi-
legitimate excuse, but the media, (the constant parade of eye-rolling gunphobic
zombies), and their sponsors do not. The media has no viable excuse and needs
to be held accountable to the fullest extent possible. It is the “good gun” used by
police officers, and more immediately by a trained teacher or competent citizen
with a legally concealed weapon that can prevent or reduce gun violence …
especially in schools where cowards know their victims are defenseless.

Propaganda, we must learn what it means again, observe what it does, because
we are living in the results (remember Joseph Goebbels?). Do we really know
what happened in Benghazi? Fast and Furious? Clackamas Mall? Or in our
nefarious administration? It is time to pressure our legislators to pass
stringent laws on the media … not gun owners. When the truth is known,
reasonable people make better decisions. Perhaps that is the media’s true fear, loss
of their naked power.

Are we a free people if we are denied public truths?
Are we a free republic if we are lied to and propagandized by the media,
the government mouth-pieces?

Are we truly a democracy, without the knowledge of choice?

And what if the bad guns were not accessible in the first place... The news is not suppressing any information from the witless gun nuts, they will come up with their own crack-pot theories. More access to guns make it almost 20 times more deadly to live in the US than other, similarly industrialized nations. The mass murders in Norway and Montreal are two of the few world-wide massacres than I can name outside the US. They were top stories in the newspapers worldwide due to their unusual occurrence. What is the difference between those counties and the US? Similar in many ways except the amount of guns in the US. I can name too many to list here for the US. With less than 5% of the world's population, the United States is home to roughly 35–50 per cent of the world's civilian-owned guns, heavily skewing the global geography of firearms and any relative comparison

Darrin!!?? Are you being paid by the word from the democrat socialists? Are you a member of the Eldorado county democrat party? Because you and I just went down this path of you posting complete garbage information. I conclude that you are shill for the democrat socialist regime.

Ken is certainly predictable. No, I am not a democrat, socialist, or even a U.S. Citizen for that matter. Just someone who knows how life is without guns on every person. Travel in any U.S. city worries me. I have been to London, Paris, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Kingston, Mexico City, Vancouver,Rio, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Zurich. I walk everywhere in cities when I travel. No where was I as afraid as any and every U.S. city that I visit, NYC, SF, LA, Puerto Rico, Miami, Chicago... the list goes on.Your gun makes you feel safe, I get it. The thing is, if no one was walking around with one you would. Nor would you feel like you need one. Watch all that crud on TV and you will know the fear. Turn it off, think for yourself, get educated. Travel a bit if you haven't or travel more if you have. It sounds like you need to get out more. You Sir, are part of the fear-mongering problem.

Darrin your head is in the sand. There will always be guns everywhere, including in the cities where you "walk everywhere". Just because you "feel" safer in some places does not make them truly safe it just means you were not a target in that place at that time. Maybe they left you alone because of the size of your purse. Lastly if you are not a citizen, please spare us U.S. citizens your anti-gun sentiments. And your “fear” of our cities. I have been to every city you mentioned and never felt any fear. Perhaps yours is a personal problem. Please, go back to the country where you are a citizen where you can walk down any street with an even bigger purse, and preach to them. Ken, from what Richard says I can picture you fondling your gun . . .ahahahahaha. Sounds like he is jealous. My that is a big gun!

Gen. McChrystal + Gen Powell .... Not everyone can join the ARMY, not everyone should have a gun, much less a gun that tears human flesh apart....... That's Common Sense....but the NRA Lobbyist (Not the Real Gun owners who follow the law) want every nut, crazy and even people on the "No-Fly List" to have any weapon they want... UNCHECKED... Just what Law Enforcement wants when they step-in to protect YOU?

Darrin, Then go back to your country. You obviously are afraid of guns. You should be more afraid of the mental nut jobs our government seems to lack in dealing with. This country has never been invaded because the fools who would try know that most of us are armed. You can continue to be a victim and then blame the rest for not protecting you or coming to your aid fast enough for you. You are a fool of fools.

Hitler had most of his top level people were criminals, homos, and masochists. same going on here. wonder where it will end because they all come to an end.

Actually HITLER got started Arming the marginal/paranoid who thought the "Government was going to take their guns."..... Think about it... You don't trust McClintock? You think he is coming to take your guns? How about Ted Gaines? You don't trust him??? You don't trust the soldiers in Afghanistan? Or the cops who protect your streets???? The media will play the fiction of the shooter to the hilt. You won't get a straight story for some time if at all.Pretty damn sad that children had to die for a government agenda. (No I am not wearing a tinfoil hat, if you go through the makes horrible sense As for any events where a shooter is subdued by a Gun owner? That won;t get coverage either. Incidents of Crime stopped by gun owners is common actually , but no liberals want to acknowledge that. So the next 4 years shall be interesting let alone the next year. By the way We will have women in the Front Lines in combat now...Thats gotta be big news so you don't pay attention to the Bhengazi hearings wear Clinton is going for an Oscar performance... Thank goodness for the internet...the only way one can find any real new is to research it, not from listening to Rachel Maddow, Bill O'Rielly, Anderson Cooper or any of the other puppets on the other three networks...

Someone said, "I have been to London, Paris, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Kingston, Mexico City, Vancouver,Rio, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Zurich. I walk everywhere in cities when I travel." Well, anyone who can walk the streets of Rio de Janeiro, and lived to talk about it, should be listened to. Unless he is talking from the grave. The only person that I have known, who had a business there, and came back to the US, said that it was very hazardous. So he is a lucky person.

I watched the news that day. Since I grew up back in that area I was interested. I have a close friend who is a former LEO who lives a few towns over. He says things don't add up AND he has friends who lost their kids... But of course the typical liberal response is to believe what your fed...hence Useful Idiots. Typical.

The fact many people in our county, including the Sheriff actually believe in an invisible army over the horizon waiting to impose tyranny, that our nation’s problem with violent crime is not an issue of firearms but entirely an issue of mental health and that somebody wants to kick your door down and take your guns away, is confusing unless you good the NRA web site where its all explained.

Darrin since you are not a US citizen you can't vote here, then simply mind your own business. That explains why your cognitive reasoning is all screwed up. Chrispy is an unabashed documented and proud racist as well as a bigot. Richard is strangest of all. I'm pretty sure he is a woman and just lonely. Richard has admitted to owning firearms and at the same time demands the abolishment of our second amendment. All the while boasting about owning an illegal firearm while giving instructions as how to purchase illegal ammunition magazines. These 3 are the heart and sole of the democrat socialist party of our county. Sans the two old guys in the balcony of the muppet show.

James, don't you remember the Agenda 21 kerfluffle? How it was a secret plot to cede out sovereignty to the UN? It made the front page of the MD, and every Supervisor and candidate fell over himself to affirm that the fears were well-founded and that they would sure as heck not let those black helicopters anywhere around here.

Our kneepad media lost objectivity @50 years ago. They choose sides and are guilty of omission for everything that does not fit their agenda. The dumbdown masses are being led to slaughter just like lemmings over a cliff. Look at Crispy's comment. Totally clueless to the fact that without capitalism socialism wouldn't have any wealth to confiscate and redistribute. The only failure of capitalism the everywhere the leftists have attempted to use it for their own advantage.

Years ago, I remember hearing about the two major new agencies of the Soviet Union - TASS and Pravda, Our media at the time used to practically giggle when they reported anything that came from those agencies, knowing as they did that there wasn;t a shred of independent journalism within. It was all Soviet propaganda. These days, our American alphabet news sources (ABC NBC CBS CNN NPR PBS) could school TASS and Pravda into shame. Have you ever wondered why it's ALWAYS a democrat that makes proposals to regulate talk radio and the internet?
