Michael Hargon Benefit

There are not enough words to express heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the event for Michael Hargon on Saturday, April 13. All the volunteers who spent six weeks putting this together, you really are the lifeblood of this community.

Pollock Pines continues to be one of the best places on earth. To all the people from near and far that came to support the family and for those who could not make it, your presence was deeply felt. It was an honor to have Michael’s 50th. Intelligence Squadron from Beale Air Force Base attend the event to show their strength in numbers and brotherhood. A special thanks to Pollock Pines Elementary School District for allowing us to host the benefit at Sierra Ridge Middle School.

There were several student clubs such as AVID and Interact that participated and lent a helping hand. There were even students bringing baggies with change and a few dollars, probably their lunch money or piggy bank savings to contribute towards helping Michael. Those kids are already making a difference because of their willingness to graciously help others. The local Rotary Club and CERT attended to parking for the benefit to keep us all safe. Our fire department made itself available to us in case of an emergency.

To all the businesses and individuals that generously gave to support this cause, you made this event possible. Through the generosity of others, Michael will have some financial support to get him through this life-changing illness. It was incredible to see the outpouring of love and support from so many people, Mike is definitely not alone. We will continue to update the Michael Hargon Support Page on Facebook as he goes on this difficult journey to beat cancer. Michael is a “Warrior,” and through strength, faith, love, support and prayers, he will beat this beast.

From the bottom of my heart, I feel privledged to have been touched by so many.

Pollock Pines
