Missouri Flat traffic

EDITOR:

Leaving a business along this stretch (Missouri Flat between Walmart and Pleasant Valley Road) is not for the impatient nor faint of heart; at times it takes nearly five minutes to pull out. Like most who frequent this area, I’ve learned to judge cross traffic carefully and step on it when it is safe to go.

Leaving True Value, imagine my great surprise to have a young man in a distant white truck not only decline to ease up on his lead foot, but actually speed up to pass me in the center turn lane!

Maybe the speed limit of 45 mph is too high for this congested area, or perhaps more speeding tickets need to be given out. Until we have the parkway in (several years), it seems something should be done to mediate traffic more safely. It gets more dangerous every year.

If you search articles--speed limits and problems have appeared through out the county...is there an answer to this pattern? Remember a person in Pollock just wrote about this same issue...is it about bigger roads coming in? If stack and packs come (we called them apartments)...cars come.... traffic goes faster. I come from the city...its how it worked there...20 something years ago. Theme villages--city. In Pollock I have heard people refer to Victorian house themes fro San Francisco--shhhhhhhhhhhh--San Francisco is a "city." Pick a different reference when convincing a group that you are not trying to change the place--lolol...or use the phrase "theme places make people happier" People are going to love the video :) okay off for awhile--sorry that im hogging the wall... Harper step down...these people are going to hate me after 24 hrs...lololol
