EDITOR:
‘Tis the day of Christmas
and all through the house
personal electronic devices operate
without requiring a mouse.
The new kindle fire HD and
it’s Apple electronic equals
let you easily Internet surf,
watching movies and their sequels.
Suddenly in the living room
a personal device charger crashes
a teenager doesn’t think clearly
and off to Walmart he dashes.
The sign at the huge retailer
delivers some very sad news
telling him “closed for the holiday”
results in yule tide teen blues.
The teen is now very stressed
“What now, what do I do?”
He yells gazing skyward
seeking some type of divine clue.
He sulks and returns home
where sweet Mom is waiting
smirking at teen impulsiveness
but with a plate full of what’s baking.
The teen begrudgingly sits down
and begins filling his belly,
today he’ll settle for family time,
watching “A Christmas Story” on the tele.
