EDITOR:
It appears that we have a new raceway for speeders on Old French Town Road after turning off of Mother Lode. After calls to the county and having “no” help, and the Sheriff’s and Highway Patrol are not in our area much, I will appeal to the public using this road. The seniors walking back and forth between the two sections of Greenstone Mobile Home Senior Park are fed up with the extreme speeds. The speed limit is 25 mph but we see over 50 easy. The tickets that could be given would clear the national debt. Please slow down when approaching our park before someone is hurt. We walk slow and get tired of waiting for the rude drivers speeding and talking on cellphones. Thank you in advance for the few who have in the past.

Another very dangerous area is South Shingle, right off Hwy 50 - Coming out of Lakeview Dr.onto So. Shingle you literally take your chances that you'll get out safely - my daughter's friend was hit there a week or so ago - did some pretty major damage to her car. No Sheriff's Dept ever in the are, no CHP.
