The Feb. 17 edition of the Mountain Democrat published a letter in the “Letters” section that was a good example of how thoughtful Americans should express their opinions. The reader was responding to a previous letter regarding the intolerance of the Democratic Party.
Without commenting on the accuracy of the statements made in the Feb. 17 letter, I thought the letter writer presented his opinions in a non-querulous manner. He also did not resort to name calling in presenting the beliefs he felt supported his contention that it is the Republican Party that is intolerant and not the Democrats.
While I may not agree with the writer, I enjoyed reading what he wrote.
