Nor sleet, nor car fire deter mailman

By From page A5 | December 03, 2012

EDITOR: One of the homeowners on Highway 49 north said “nor sleet — nor snow — nor fire, our mailman Tim Howard will protect our mail.”

Friday afternoon on Highway 49 and Discovery Lane, Tim’s car caught on fire. Tim and an unknown man moved the mail away from the burning car. Tim made the comment that he and his dad will continue to deliver our mail. Tim’s car burnt to the ground and the fence nearby.

After the mail was retrieved, off Tim went with his dad to finish out his job. Thanks to the heroics in men that believe in our federal mail. Later that evening I went to check — yep, the mail was there.

Thank you Tim for your dedication.
