Nutting article on June 12

EDITOR:

Attorney Weiner, representing Nutting, says, “No matter what he does, they want to turn around and stick it to him.”

Attorney Weiner, there are no “do overs.” Over a period of several years Nutting has acted in ways that appear to be illegal and he is now summoned to appear before a jury of his peers to decide if what he has been accused of, he is guilty or innocent of. Once you have been found out, you can’t say, “Oops, give me a chance and I will fix it.”

I guess it's too bad that if you commit a crime you should be punished, Ray sees nothing wrong with; theft, embeselment, tax evasion. false reporting of political campaign money, illegal fires, taxes or non payment for starting fires, hiding illegally obtained money out of state, drunking underaged drinking, injury to underaged etc, The depth of all the charges goes far beyond what his attorney wants to be revealed, so to say "they will stick it to him" is just what should be done because he is not above the law and should be held to a higher standard as he took the oath of office to do so. No one is attending this pitty party for Ray, if you do the crime do the time, that's the end to all of this, admit and quit....

Some countries prohibit such pre-trial speculation, considering that it may risk prejudicing the administration of justice.

When are you people going to get it? Ray Nutting is being victimized by a bunch of bullies who want to control the county. What the heck is going on here people? Do you not see that the D.A., along with Briggs and others want Ray out? They want to control every supervisor. If all the public agencies involved in this fiasco have said Ray has done nothing wrong, then why are we allowing the elected D.A. to spend our tax dollars on a witch hunt? I am so sick of corruption that goes on behind closed doors in this county. It goes on everywhere people and we all just sit back and let it happen. Well I am sick of just letting it happen. We need to get rid of these bullies.

Ray is innocent until proven guilty--we are still in America right...
