Oak Ridge graduation

By From page A5 | June 17, 2013

EDITOR:

I attended the graduation ceremony at Oak Ridge High School on May 31. I was really impressed by the three speakers: Oak Ridge Teacher of the Year Angela Brown, Principal Steve Wehr and Oak Ridge High School District Trustee Todd White. Their messages of hope and success in attaining a bright future were very uplifting. The speakers clearly laid out the importance of maintaining and building upon individual values and self respect, of looking beyond monetary rewards as a measure of success and of instilling a strong love of God and country.

The combined presentations and their messages were the best I have heard at the numerous graduation ceremonies I have attended. The students, faculty and community of the Oak Ridge school district are very lucky to have such educators and district officials serving them.
