EDITOR: ”Thanks” is not enough to express the heartfelt gratitude I feel during the most horrific time in my life. However, I must give praise to Bob Billingsley, for a thoughtful and elegant eulogy in honor of my late husband, David Viramontes, Jr. (I’ve dubbed Bob the “Eulogist”); to Steve Nichols, and The Diamond Springs, El Dorado Firefighters Association; Jody and Liz of the Hair Affair; Dawn Durrett of Dynamic Designs; Kumar of Busy Spot Market; and T&M Electric; our Sheriff’s Department; and my Publisher Richard Esposito, Manager Gerry Ulm, and all the “family” at the Mountain Democrat.
Because of the Letter to the Editor policy, I’m limited with the names and businesses to mention, but you know who you are. To all of my friends and neighbors, who may have suffered recent loss and ongoing illness, but were still there for me, those who’ve traveled from far to “set-up” for the memorial service. To all those who came to our home and did much needed safety repairs, hold my hand, make me coffee and give me comfort.
My mother, Linda Mikolajewski, and I humbly thank you for all your kindness during this time of grievance; your outpouring of support is very much appreciated. Thank you everyone.
