EDITOR:

As you drive up Highway 50 and pass under the Ponderosa overpass you had an unobstructed view of the “Crystal Range” in all of its splendor. I considered this to be the gateway to the high country.

Now, thanks to the powers that be in the county, this has been taken away from all of us. We now have a mega billboard sign selling beer in our view.

What’s next? A Sea World at Sly Park? If we the people can get the state to change the ADA scam we should be able to stop this rape of our landscape.

    Your right, I think we absolutely need more signs and billboards along our highway. They will help stimulate the economy.

    If we keep electing republicans you can expect to see many more billboards and other unrestrained growth/blight.

    On the other hand, there is a stretch of highway in France which has many overheads, like Placerville, and they are all covered with signs. Very colorful. It is Le Mans.
