The Good: Today was movie day at the Regal Placerville Stadium 8 Theater for some of our residents in the Independent Apartments at Gold Country Retirement. I was helping some of the residents off the bus as the rest lined up to buy their tickets.
To my utter surprise and delight a man and his wife at the head of the line bought tickets for two of our residents who just happened to be next in line. It does the heart good to know there are such kind and generous people in our community. This act of kindness made these ladies’ day. Bless you kind citizens whoever you are.
Now to the not so good: To the woman who read me the riot act because we came into the movie a tad late (there had been a miscommunication regarding the start time of the movie), I hope you will see just how petty and rudely you behaved. I am sorry our group of seniors ruined your day. But a big thank you to manager Gillian Masters for your thoughtfulness and kind handling of the situation. You and your staff are all very courteous and helpful.
It was a wonderful outing for all of our residents.
