EDITOR:
I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful person that is running for the Placerville City Council. Her name is Trisha Wilkins, and I believe she is exactly what Placerville needs in order for it to remain strong and vital. Her belief that small business is the backbone of the city’s economic stability is encouraging to me. The Placerville City Council needs a new perspective. Mrs. Wilkins understands her role on the council will be to serve in the best interests of the residents of the city and not her own personal wellbeing.
Having young grandchildren in this community, I want a community that is as strong for them in the future, as it has been in previous times. I want a city that is safe and a place that our young people can look back on their childhood, and have positive memories. I want Placerville to be a place where our young people want to start a family and a vibrant future.
I know Mrs. Wilkins has the passion and drive to ensure that this happens during her time on the city council. Having a husband and young children, she has a vested interest in making sure Placerville is a city that is improving in all areas. She has expressed to me that Placerville was a great place for her to grow up, and she wants to ensure this for her children.
Please cast your vote for Trisha Wilkins on Election Day. She has the passion, drive, and know how that will make Placerville even better.
