Placerville political correctness

EDITOR:

I was sad to see that the last magnolia tree on Main Street was cut down. Dirty, but beautiful.

I am sure that City Hall is happy that we have one less non-native tree to deal with.

OK, the flip side of the burger is, In & Out is not alone anymore. What is next? The Christmas tree (coastal redwood). Oh no.

Yes, Barry. Sequoias seem to be verboten. ~~~ LINK - (coastal redwood). Oh no.

One of Placerville's most idiotic decisions....ever! Probably made by a group of bay area transplants.

I'm with you guys...For years now those wine sipping, croissant nibbling, hoity-toity, self-important, pompous, Bay area transplants have been trying to turn Hangtown into Carmel By The Sea...They really frost me..Wish they could just left stuff alone.....Dang, I need some coffee....

OK, they're worried about one lone Magnolia tree. So what about all those other "foreign invaders"? Let's see; the domestic cat, the domestic dog, the English Sparrow, the Indian Starling, any of a number of species of house plants, any of a number of species of domestic farm animals, including domestic hogs, and the list goes on. How is it that these "foreign invaders" don't receive the same attention, let alone action?
