Placerville’s streets

By From page A5 | September 23, 2013

EDITOR: This is a concern to the city of Placerville and it is about the conditions of our town’s streets.

We encourage people to come and visit our Historical Hangtown of Placerville. Our streets are so bad with conditions that it’s an embarrassment to the locals to have others outside that come here to visit.

The TV stations tell people to go visit the foothill areas.

We are right on Highway 50 for travelers to stop and shop. Then they drive on our bumpy streets that only seem to get worse. Now that Apple Hill will be opening next weekend, I wonder if they will still enjoy driving on the Main Street of Placerville.

Also, the traffic on Highway 50 is backed up on the weekend most of the time to Point View Drive.

Maybe someone will at least redo Main Street soon.
