Pollock Pines CERT thank you

By From page A5 | July 10, 2013

EDITOR:

The Pollock Pines Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) recognizes and thanks the organizations and businesses listed below for their support of our recent fundraising drive. CERT exists for the benefit of the community to assist sheriff’s deputies, fire and EMT personnel in emergencies, and to provide safety and traffic control in support of local community events. The team members of CERT are residents of  Pollock Pines and surrounding communities, who enjoy the area in which they live and who wish to do their part in protecting and assisting their fellow community members.

Recently, Pollock Pines CERT received the donation of a 5-by-8-foot covered utility trailer that was in need of repair before it could be utilized in support of our mission to help provide first responder assistance in our area. We solicited donations from organizations and businesses in Pollock Pines, Placerville and Shingle Springs in order to raise the funds needed to refurbish the trailer and outfit it with first aid supplies and emergency equipment. To our great gratification, we were successful in our fundraising activities and we are now equipped to fulfill the emergency, first responder role for which we are trained.

Our sponsors are: Burger Barn, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Skeeter’s Hot Dogs & Ice Cream, Burgers ‘R Us, Patty’s Place Salon, Sportsman’s Hall Restaurant, CEDAPP, Pizza Factory, Spot-On Signs & Graphics, Crystal View Station, Pollock Pines Community Center, Tru Value Hardware Store, CVS Pharmacy, Pollock Pines-Camino Rotary, Umpqua Bank, Fifty Grand Restaurant, Riebes Auto Parts, Wagon Tails Pet Grooming, Hang Town Auto Body, Safeway, Wells Fargo Bank, Knotty Pine Bowling Lanes, Shear Excellence Salon, Z Group Real Estate and New Haven Pub & Grill.
