Religious groups

EDITOR:

It never ceases to amaze me that there are religiously insane people out there. They are all over the globe, all worshiping their own version of “god.”

What really gets me though, are those who think it’s okay to kill others that don’t agree with their definition of god. The Taliban get a lot of press, but it’s everywhere. I don’t see any difference between the Taliban and the other religious zealots throughout the world.

You’ve got nut jobs in the U.S. who think it’s okay to kill doctors who perform abortions. How is this different from the Taliban, who kill people that don’t subscribe to their particular definition of Allah?

Human beings have been killing in the name of god throughout history. The ignorant are being manipulated by those who aspire to greed and power. Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, Jew, Muslim, ad nauseum.

It always comes back to money and power, and the foot soldiers are those poor ignorant wretches who have given their reasoning over to “spiritual leaders,” who then manipulate them as they will.

It is sickening, whether it takes place in the Persian Gulf, Europe, Afghanistan, or the U.S.A.

Yes it is sickening M. Graham when a Doctor has a license to kill an innocent and defenseless life in the womb. I'm sure those Doctors are not christians.

Rare indeed are the instances I get to read something as ignorant as that written by M Graham. The Taliban is a radicalized branch of Islam and Islam's bible is the Que'ran (spellings vary). That book, which I have studied, endorses and advocates the execution of Infidels (anyone who doesn't believe), or at the very least, excuses crimes committed by the Faithful against the infidels. Christianity does no so such thing. It holds every person to the same standard. Anyone who commits murder (even on an abortion doctor) in the name of Christ knows not of where he speaks. The fact that I can buy a Raiders Jersey doesn't make me an NFL player. M Graham, I'll bet you do not impugn the entire community of law enforcement and the ideological concept OF law just because of the actions of one (or even a few) dirty cop. So why don't you make that same logical conclusion with respect to one bad preacher among the entire body of Christendom? Because you don't WANT to...

Jack Martin is right. Any woman who has an abortion is guilty of murder. ALL of these women should get the death penalty. Right on, Jack!!

Is the question: "Under what circumstances do each of you endorse killing?"

This Martin guy seems to be off in his own world. The greatest threat to America and the world in modern times is the radicalized Christendom Right, right here in our own country. Just imagine what are nation would be today had Col. Pete McCloskey not kicked the wind out Pat Robinson for being less than truthful about his combat experience when he ran for President in the 1980s. Foot Soldier
