Repair Sly Park Road

EDITOR:

Sly Park Road is in terrible condition from the lake down to Holiday Market. When are you going to repair it like you did Newtown Road?

It`s not the road, its the unskilled drivers that use the road.

Meh. Try driving on the back roads in Tahoe. These are El Dorado county roads and the condition is downright dangerous. Running on Pioneer Trail (one of the better roads!) from Meyers to Stateline is an obstacle course, with the penalty being damage to your alignment or worse.

If you were to calculate every gallon of gas burned on sly park road over the last 40 years and the taxes collected on that gas you would have enough money to build an entirely new road. So where is the money? Salaries, pensions and healthcare. Then add in all the federal funds California has recieved over the same 40 years and you will start to get the picture of just how much money the public sector and their unions have stolen from the taxpayers. Yuppie, the same is true for Tahoe and every other backroad in the county.
