Response to ‘you people’

EDITOR: What says it all, Mr. Longhofer, is when the U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama says, “I have visited all 57 states and have one more to go,” and the U.S. First Lady Michelle LaVaughn Obama says, “For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country.” Wow! I could go on and on and on …

Why is it so important to always put in their middle names and go to the extreme of putting US President Barack Hussein Obama? I see this all the time from those that I'm guessing are Tea Party folks, but not sure. I love people having opposing positions and not fully supporting a sitting president. Any president will have a portion of the population that does not support them, that is the nature of how it works. But it is still a postion of respect and it almost comes across as derogatory when people use the name like that. How hard is it to just say President Obama and the First Lady? Seems like less writing to me. I do agree it was a big gaffe on his part....but I don't think that stuff is really relevant....we can spend days pointing out mis-statements by all candidates, it happens....

Yes, that's the President's real name, and probably the reason that Willard Mitt Romney is always referred to/described as Willard Mitt Romney. Question of the year: Is using Hussein a hidden message? Oh, of course not, how could I even think that.

J.E. ..Yes Hussein is Obama's middle name and try as you might you can't blame Bush or the Tea-party for that. ...I actually expected the "race-baiting" to come out a little latter in Obama's campaign, but since it has, I'll just call them by Barry and Shelly the names they went by in collage..

Ken Respect is earned . . . it does not automatically come with any position as far as I am concerned. And to date, I have not seen anything worth respecting.

Bill ouch! You got us on that one. I mean zing! I gotta hand it to ya, BUT G.W. is no conservative. How's that ACORN working, community organizing, gun shipping, terrorist loving Socialist of a president doing for ya? Could you please list the democrat parties accomplishment in either this state or the US the past 3.5 years. Start by how well you're doing because of B.O. Feel free to double space.

Ken Steers says that the reason he always uses the President’s middle name is not to childishly be nasty and derisive but, “Because his name is Barack Hussein Obama.” Yeah, sure, but do you ever see him call the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Gov. Willard Mitt Romney or Willard Romney because, after all, that is HIS name. As a growing number of folks keep saying, don’t rely on Ken Steers for straight answers or the truth.

Dear Mr. Fool, When you stated, "a growing number of folks keep saying, don’t rely on Ken Steers for straight answers or the truth", I think the VAST and growing number of people who cannot rely on this socialist "president" for ANY answers far outweigh the few who may disagree with Mr. Steers. In the dictionary, when we look up "clueless" and "truthless" there should be a picture of ol' Hussein in both places!

...and as I have stated/asked before, where was the "outrage"over Obama's use of "You people'.... as in his speech at Colorado University, April 24th. "America is not just about you people doing well." http://www.cuindependent.com/2012/04/25/president-obama-to-cu-weve-got-to-make-college-affordable-for-you/34148/

I wonder way George W. wont attend the republican national convention, maybe he has a cold or maybe its because under his command someone charged between 3.2 to 4 trillion dollars, killed 4489 and wounded 100,000 of the best men and women America has sending our nation into a financial tail spin. You loyal party members did well on that one. .

Because Bill, G.W. is not running for President of the United States. Barack Hussein Obama is. William try listing the Supreme Leader's accomplishments these past 3.5 years. I just watched Barack Hussein Obama's ad to democrats. An instructional video of how to contribute to his campaign on line. Even Obama believes the few progressives that still support his regime consist of brain damaged morons. I guess it's all that's left. Pun intended

The reference to the President as a “socialist” reminds me of hearing people say the same thing about FDR. Herbert Hoover and Calvin Coolidge had it all wrong too about trickle-down economics when that was what got us into that economic mess in the first place, letting stock manipulators run amuck. Thank God for FDR, and Barack Obama.

Loyal party member Steers, I think your just upset after giving all those thousands to the republican party over the years in return for government funded contracts that have dried up with a Democratic administration, you cant have it both ways fat boy.

Loyal Party member is exactly the term a slimy socialist like you would use Bill. Being giddy that I'm upset because the government has destroyed our economy and telling me I can't have it both ways only proves that you just don't have a clue. And regarding you calling me a fat boy! Yes I am. But you are freaking stupid beyond compare and I can always go on a diet. I won't and you'll still be stupid.

I'm going on a diet because I see my family practice doctor in the first week of September, and if I don't lose 17 pounds before then he is going to beat me silly with a stick. I love my 17 pounds and will hate to lose them.
