Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to consider two cases concerning the legality of same sex marriage, I would like to ask two questions of those who oppose it.
First, say that you oppose same sex marriage on the grounds that marriage should be limited to a man and a woman because procreation is the purpose of marriage and a homosexual couple cannot produce children, the reason cited by many opponents. Would you deny marriage to a heterosexual couple who love each other, but choose not to or cannot, due to advanced age or medical issues, have children?
Second question: How would the legalization of same sex marriage hurt your marriage?
