Leslie, I voted against the library tax on principle. But here’s the part that liberals, God bless ‘em, can never seem to wrap their heads around. I still love the library, so I donated the same amount that I would have been taxed. In fact, for good measure, I doubled it. That way I took a stand against coercion, yet still acted to preserve a civil society – as Americans will do when they’re entrusted with freedom.

Which part of “the taxpayers are out of money” don’t you understand? Fulfilling every want for everyone is very expensive. Watching democrats learn is wonderful. Wait until they run out of crumbs for the public sector and the freeloaders, we can use the libraries to house the homeless. Is that redneck enough for you?

Leslie-I voted against the Library tax because I already pay taxes for the Library and don’t want additional fees that go on until eternity for services I already pay. That said, I also sponsor a magazinel for $100 yearly and purchase between 15 and 20 newly published books for donation to the Library. May I suggest you find a way to assist the Library without forcing more money out of a financially strained population.

Leslie Hill says the library gets no direct public funding. Leslie Hill is ill informed and should polish his or her research skills. Hill says people like me who don’t like President Obama are rednecks. I also don’t like Mitt Romney, Leslie Hill. Does that make me a blueneck or a noneck?

With the fire protection fees and the sales tax increase not to mention the ever increasing cost of gas, maybe $20 is not a lot by itself, but added in with the additional fees and taxes, it might just be the last $20 in someone’s bank account at the end of the month.
It is sad to see program funding cut but you can’t make others feel bad for not wanting to spend money they don’t have.
