Although, it is rare an elder says I want to go to Senior Day Care, there is a time when it will fulfill a desperate need for a caregiver and loved one. Unlike other entitlement government programs, there is a buy-in by the clients who pay a daily fee of about $50.
Thank you to the supervisors for moving this forward and funding this facility in EDH. The sign has read Senior Day Care for four or five years and the space unused. The benefits of such a service for the residents, families and employers will ripple into the community. We all need to continue to make the communities in El Dorado County more “aging friendly.”
