EDITOR: It’s great being a resident and entrepreneur in Placerville. Recently I moved my bridal shop from 414 Main Street across the street to 435 and being a first-time commercial property owner I cringed at the thought of dealing with the city’s bureaucracy. Nothing of the sort, I found the chaps on the second floor of City Hall exceptionally nice and helpful. I know I must have pestered them repeatedly for help but they took time to explain all the codes, permits and such so that I could understand and comply.
