Thanking the Pines

EDITOR:

Our family wants to thank the Pines of Placerville, a physical rehabilitation and nursing home facility, for all the professional, kind, exceptional patient care given to our 91-year-old mother; Mom has Alzheimer’s and fractured her pelvis at a local assisted living facility. After several days at the hospital, Mom, taken by ambulance, arrived at the Pines, flat on her back, in severe pain and totally unable to walk.

Needless to say, Mother was very frightened. Staff immediately created a cocoon of comfort, warmth and love. Mom felt she was being taken care of by loving family members; we did too.

Now, we know that in the past, the Pines had negative story lines written about them and events that transpired. But now, under new ownership and new
management, the Pines is rated by our family as an “A+” facility.

Special thanks and a “shout out” to new “boss” Jared Edmunds, Jon and Sylvia, Bob of PT and Deborah Herman of OT, Director of Nursing Arnel Leus, Kristi, Kit, April and the rest of this capable crew.
