The Grinch is a common thief

EDITOR:

We had helped decorate one of the many Christmas Trees along Highway 50 along with other members of the Hangtown Kennel Club (Tree holder #53). We stopped by to see our tree as we heard that its lights were not working. Sure enough, someone had cut off our extension cord. I walked the line of trees from pole number 37 up to number 77. There were a total of 17 trees missing their extension cords. They were missing mainly in spots that were not well lit from businesses near by. The tradition of Christmas Trees along the highway should not end. However, the missing electrical cords taken by someone sure puts a damper on the glow of this special time of year. I hope the person(s) that stole the cords needed them for some worthwhile cause, but to me you are just a common thief.
