Tree of Kindness

EDITOR:

On behalf of the Federated Church Tree of Kindness, I’d like to sincerely thank all the folks in our area who make our Christmas giving project possible. Granting local children’s wishes for warm coats and shoes couldn’t happen without the many people who adopt an individual child or family referred to us by the compassionate office and counseling staff from the Placerville schools and El Dorado High School. We also thank this year’s Main Street partners, Flowers on Main and Combellack’s, who featured trees with individual requests during December. Special thanks to Dynamic Images, who hosted the Second Annual Tree of Kindness Day, with all salon proceeds going to support our effort. We are also grateful for cooperation from K-Mart and Grocery Outlet, which helped our budget stretch further. If it takes a village, we are glad we are in this one, because it is full of kind and generous people.
