EDITOR:
With the election less than a month away, I would encourage the people of Placerville to cast their vote for Trisha Wilkins for City Council. I have known Trisha for many years, and I know she possesses the know-how, determination and integrity that is needed to become an effective member of the City Council.
I originally met Trisha through her stepfather, the late Ira Mirsky, who was very active in local political and community activities. Ira was always a person that kept me on the right track and encouraged me to think through issues in an unbiased manner. He taught me how to evaluate issues based on how they affected the community, and not who may or may not be upset with me after I expressed my opinion. I utilize many of the principles that Ira instilled upon me in my decision-making as a member of the high school board today.
Trisha has the same heart for service that her dad had, and I believe a heart of service is so desperately needed in local politics and government today. She has a wonderful vision for the City of Placerville. A vision that would improve the city’s local economy, and one that ensures that Placerville is a safe and secure city for the next generation to embrace.
On election day, please vote for Trisha Wilkins for the Placerville City Council.
