Uphold the Third Amendment

By From page A5 | July 25, 2014

EDITOR:

I keep reading letters to the editor about peoples’ concern for keeping the Second Amendment. What about Third Amendment rights? I am much more concerned about people who may want to abolish the Third Amendment than I am about the Second Amendment.

Who wants soldiers tramping their muddy boots all over their carpets? And what about feeding all of these soldiers? My wife will spend all of her time cooking and cleaning up after them. They will eat all of my food and drink all of my wine. Where will we sleep? They will park their tanks on my lawn and land their helicopters in my yard, much to the chagrin of my dog.

I don’t want anyone abolishing my Third Amendment rights.
