Vote for Claire McNeal

By From page A5 | August 11, 2014

In the special election for District 2 El Dorado County Supervisor, the voters have an opportunity to make this county an even better place to live, and to move county government forward. This county needs a representative on the Board of Supervisors that is willing to work with others, to ensure that this county’s rural atmosphere remains intact and that its economic base is continually strong.

There are many qualified candidates running for the office of District 2 supervisor, but I believe the best choice is Claire McNeal. Claire has the life experience necessary to move this county forward and into a prosperous future. Being a California business owner since 1976, Claire knows the work and drive it takes to make a payroll and grow a successful business. Being a property owner in a rural portion of the district, she experiences the same challenges that those in south county experience when it pertains to issues, including water, maintained roads and access to health services.

Claire is not beholden to any interest group. Her campaign is self-funded. She believes this is necessary in order to represent all of the residents of District 2 fairly. While other candidates have aligned themselves’ with a particular interest group, Claire will be able to make decisions based on what’s best for District 2.

Claire and I have been good friends for several years and I know her deep love for El Dorado County. She will stand up for what’s right for District 2, and she will never allow herself to become a victim of political pressure. Please vote for Claire McNeal for District 2 County Supervisor on Sept. 9.
