Water conservation

By From page A5 | March 07, 2014

I am in the sixth grade and want to share an idea about how to save water.

One way to help conserve water is to use a bucket. When you take a shower, the first thing you feel is cold water. If you use a bucket to catch that cold water you can then use the water for your plants and/or give it to your pets.

Another reason to use a bucket is so you don’t have to have the water treated again after it goes down the drain. Plus it saves electricity. The reason it saves electricity is because when the water goes down the drain it has to be treated and they need to pump the water to the treatment plant. That process uses electricity.

Save water all the time this way, not just because we’re having a drought.
