What happened to ‘fair and balanced?’

EDITOR:

If Ray Nutting’s alleged FPPC violations always make page 1, why does the Democrat bury a similar story about Vern Pierson on page 9? The only logical conclusion is that it’s all politically motivated and the Democrat has chosen to side with the DA.

I hope another newspaper — one that isn’t in bed with local politicians — covers the Nutting trial so that the citizens of El Dorado County can get the facts. Sad to say, we can’t trust the Democrat to report them.
