What’s in your water?

EDITOR:

I was at Slab Creek a few weeks ago and the water was quite low. I went to the boat put in along the dirt road and stopped at the water’s edge. From there you could see into the water easily.

Unfortunately what I saw was the remains of a car, a 55-gallon drum and what looks like a washing machine.

First of all, the folks who did this should be drawn and quartered. I contacted SMUD, El Dorado County Water Agency and the El Dorado County Board of supervisors. As far as I know, nothing has been done about it.

Now I know it may not be the top priority. But the water is up again now obscuring the items, and the opportunity to clear them easily is gone. Does anyone know who would be responsible?

Darrin, Slab Creek Reservoir is owned and operated by SMUD.

Darrin, do you suppose that the Department of Homeland Security would be curious about the 55 gallon drum?

Phil, homeland security is far more concerned with your 3 oz bottle of hand sanitizer in your carryon.

Phil, if this comet survives its flyby the sun it may make for some spectacular viewing. http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2013/09/10/if-the-sun-doesnt-blast-it-comet-ison-will-soon-light-up-the-sky/

YES! I marked the calendar months ago. I think that I didn't have to. Should be great

SMUD had no interest in cleaning the items in there. I was most concerned about the drum as who knows what would be in that? If you were so compelled to dump it there it must not be the usual crapola....
