On Sunday, March 10, “60 Minutes” included a piece about a postperson who became concerned about one of her customers on her route who failed to pick up her home-delivered mail for three days (which was unusual). The postperson checked around to no avail and finally called the police. The police found the elderly lady had a stroke and laid there for three days.

Our Community Services has a great program called YANA (you are not alone) where persons interested can get a daily welfare check phone call. Manned by a group of volunteers, this program is free.
