EDITOR:
According to President Obama this is what a “steady and healthy recovery” looks like:
• U.S. downgrade from AAA status: first in American history
• Federal spending (25 percent of GDP): highest since World War II
• Budget deficit (10 percent of GDP): highest since World War II
• Federal debt (67 percent of GDP): highest since just after World War II
• Employment (58.1 percent of population working): lowest since 1983
• Long-term unemployment (45.9 percent of total): highest since 1930s
• Home ownership rate (59.7 percent): lowest since 1965
• Percentage of taxpayers paying income tax (49 percent): lowest in modern era
• Government dependency (47 percent), Federal benefit payments, highest in American history.
So, what bothers the Left? What are they all up in arms over? Answer: Chic-fil-a.
Moral of the story is, if you hold your fast-food restaurant to a higher standard than you do your President, then yes, you might be a Liberal.

R.J., I'm a liberal, and I'm not up in arms over Chic-fil-a. I don't care what the CEO thinks about anything -- I just want a good chicken product. But, glad you mentioned it. They have a new store in Folsom and I need to visit. Wow, I read your list and do you really think President Obama is responsible for all of them? Ah, by the way, we got downgraded from AAA because the Republican House was in their full NO mode.

Hey J.L......I ate the new Chick-Fil-A just the other day...It was pretty good, but it wasn't great, kinda dry, I've had better....Anyway, at what point in time will Obama stop blaming everything and everybody else, and actually begin to take responsibility for his own Presidency??..Will it be after his first full term??..or, maybe 6 years??...7 years??... Never????..Just curious,

I think that Obama is an idealog and has clung to his beliefs and principals which were contrary from how he ran for office the first time. I won't ask the question it is clear that his failed policies have hurt America for the majority of working Americans.

Republicans need to stop blaming Democrats and Democrats need to stop blaming Republicans and realize that the entire political system is a mess. The billionaires and lobbyists are buying politicians and our expense. They are playing games with our retirement, our health and our homes. If you think your political party is better than another one you are not paying attention.

"We would like to apologize for the way in which politicians are represented in this program. It was never our intention to imply that politicians are weak-kneed, political time-servers who are more concerned with their personal vendettas and private power struggles than the problems of government, nor to suggest at any point that they sacrifice their credibility by denying free debate on vital matters in the mistaken impression that party unity comes before the well-being of the people they supposedly represent, nor to imply at any stage that they are squabbling little toadies without an once of concern for the vital social problems of today. Nor indeed do we intend that viewers should consider them as crabby ulcerous little self-seeking vermin with furry legs and an excessive addiction to alcohol and certain explicit sexual practices which some people might find offensive. We are very sorry if this impression has come across." ~ Monty Python

Rupert MURDOCH's station pushed Chick-fil-A -- should have got some kick-back for that...... [Hum... I finally got to see what FOX-News viewers look like..... Not a newspaper or book in the bunch...]

The fact that this letter actually got published is why I will never subscribe to the Mountain Democrat. Ridiculous. Obama inherited this wonderful economic condition from George W. and W. expanded the role of gov't during his administration. Look it up.
