As adopted by the El Dorado Irrigation District Board of Directors on March 26, 2012, and as a result of the findings from a recent cost of service study, effective Jan. 1, 2013, water rates will increase by 11 percent and wastewater rates will increase by 5 percent.
New recreational turf rates will be in effect as well on Jan. 1 and the Domestic Irrigation rate will be phased out on this date. See details on these rate increases by reading the 2013 rate tables or call the number listed below. All rate increase notices were sent to customers, as per Proposition 218 guidelines, on Feb. 3, 2012. Public meetings and workshops were held to discuss the increases prior to adoption by the board.
Bills that include 2012 consumption will be prorated at the old and new rates for the time periods indicated on your statement. Although the prorated charges will not show as a printed line item, the total amount due is the correct amount billed. For more details on the proration, or for any questions regarding your account, please contact the billing department at 530-642-4000.
