Area Rotary DG to be in Rose Parade

By From page A3 | December 31, 2012

Every New Year brings with it the fabulous Tournament of Roses Parade from Pasadena — and for many years the world’s Rotary Clubs have been represented by a beautiful float. This year, the Rotary Club of Pollock Pines-Camino is especially proud to announce that Sam “Woody” Wilbanks, district governor of Rotary District 5190 (which includes the Rotary Club of Pollock Pines-Camino) will be part of this year’s entry. Wilbanks is a member of the Loyaton Rotary Club.

The 2013 Rotary International Float’s theme is “All The Places We Go,” representing Rotary’s service to the world in the areas of peace and conflict resolution, community and economic development, disease prevention and treatment, basic education and literacy, maternal and child health, and water and sanitation and eliminating polio from the face of the Earth.
