Ken, I would not criticize your feelings about the political consultants. I don’t know much about either of them except what I have read. I do know I would not loan any of my vehicles to Mr. Alarcon! However, I would like to share with you an answer to your understandable query about the value of an endorsement for Mr. Barb from Assemblyman Dan Logue. It is easy to wonder why an endorsement from an Assemblyman from Chico is pertinent in this local race. Assemblyman Logue is a staunch conservative who actively reaches out to, and works with, other fiscal conservatives all over our State. An endorsement from Mr. Logue, although it comes from Chico,is an endorsement of Mr. Barb’s political and personal values and that is why it is pertinent in this race. Ken, both of us have our own businesses and so I share this with you as one businessman to another. When faced with a decision of whether I want a career bureaucrat or a career businessman making decisions that affect business, I must go with business decision makers every time. As you know, my heart and soul are behind our Law enforcement and Fire folks and for that I am grateful for Mr. Veerkamp’s contributions in that arena. However, when it comes to making decisions that affect our County’s infrastructure, businesses, commerce,and financial issues, I must endorse the person I feel is most tuned in to providing solutions from a business perspective, and within a budget. In my opinion, and Assemblyman Dan Logue’s opinion, that candidate would be Richard Barb.

I think that any person who retains Dellinger or Alarcon to work on their campaign shows, at the very least poor judgement. Also it is strange to me that an endorsement from somebody from an Assemblyman in Chico would be news worthy. Because of this blurb from Dellinger I will now put my money where my mouth is and back Veerkamp.

What is wrong with this statement? “sought to postpone California’s job killing AB32 “Cap and Trade” law until”. If it is (and it is) a job killing law, then why seek to postpone it rather than abolish it? Meeting leftists halfway on “their” agenda is a win for them and a loss for liberty. We need to quit viewing only giving them half of what they want as some kind of victory.

Is Dellinger a columnist for the Mt. Democrat or someone helping Barb in his campaign? And what does an assemblyman from Chico have to do with a supervisorial campaign in El Dorado County?

I am not supporting Dellinger or Alarcon. The Courts will decide whether they were in the wrong. That has absolutely not the least bit to do with the press release recognizing the support of Mr. Barb, a fine, qualified and upstanding candidate, by assemblyman Logue. Your attempt to use an unrelated case as a cheap shot is so transparent that its only value was to point out what an idiot you are. You who are too cowardly to use your real name.

What ever happened to the civil charges that were filed against Dan Dellinger and Christopher Alarcon on suspicion of “fraudulently obtaining taxpayer financed contracts with the Pioneer Fire Protection District (PFPD) related to illegal campaign activity to expressly advocate a position in favor of the passage of a tax increase (Ballot Measure F) which voters approved in November, 2011″? Is he now helping Barb?
