The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office was advised at 2:18 p.m. on Nov. 18 that Sacramento CHP had received multiple reports that a tan Toyota SUV occupied by two male Asians on Ponderosa Road near North Shingle that had a large amount of blood coming out of the back of the vehicle. According to the reports, the occupants were trying to cover their faces as they drove away.
As officers from multiple agencies converged on the area, a CHP K-9 unit spotted the SUV traveling westbound on Highway 50, a press release stated. The car was traveling at a high rate of speed and nearing the county line.
Officers conducted a felony stop on the car and detained the two occupants, unsure of what to expect. The two men and the inside of the car was splattered with blood. In the SUV was the carcass of a recently killed deer.
Officers from the Department of Fish and Game were called and, upon arrival, began their investigation. They found that the two subjects had allegedly “shot the spike male deer with a shotgun off Ponderosa Road,” the press release stated. The deer collapsed and they “threw it in the back of the Toyota.”
While driving away, the deer regained consciousness and began struggling. One or both subjects, the press release stated, used an edged weapon to stab the deer to death, leaving the Toyota and the occupants “spattered in blood, and blood dripping heavily out the back of the car.”
DFG officers arrested Scott Lee, 46 and Nai Saechao, 32, both of Sacramento, on multiple charges related to hunting, including poaching and felony animal cruelty, the press release stated. They were booked into county jail and released on bail later that night.

DAMN! This needs to be memorialized through some sort of SNL type segment. Colonel, Richard, you guys willing to accept a roll? DAMN, I can’t stop laughing. Revealing of my dark inner workings? Oh well . . . .

Phil, couldn't do it. Not into killing animals, and won't be as long as there are Meat Departments in grocery stores. Now, if they didn't exist and I was starving to death, I would have no choice. Guess I could become a Veggie, but after eating meat all these years, too late for me.

Thank you, Colonel, for at least considering the part. A man has to know his limitations. I respect you for that. But keep in mind, you do not actually have to kill the deer in the production. Special effects are just wonderful these days. You could be the driver. Richard could be the killer. Catherine could be the cop.

I'm so sorry. Dee, would you like to be the cop?
DeeNovember 23, 2012 - 7:32 pm
Phil, How did I get involved in this?
Phil VeerkampNovember 23, 2012 - 7:37 pm
Cluster bomb? Collateral damage? Sorry, Dee. I’ll try to be more focused in the future, OK?
