Clement’s body was found by family members off of Snow’s Road On Dec. 19, said El Dorado County Sheriff’s Lt. Tim Becker. The cause of death was ruled as a suicide.
“I found David’s body Wednesday afternoon,” John Clement, David’s father, posted on Facebook on Dec. 22. “The coroners confirmed it is him this evening. He was not attacked by an animal,” he wrote, despite earlier speculation that a mountain lion may have attacked Clement while jogging. He noted a tentative memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, in Cameron Park. More details will be posted to the Facebook page, located at facebook.com/HelpFindDavidClement.
Clement disappeared the morning of Nov. 6, failing to show up at a friend’s house later that day.
