Car collides with embankment

By From page A12 | March 19, 2014

A single car collision sent two people to the hospital Monday morning.

A silver 2007 Mazda 6 was heading westbound on Highway 50 just east of Ponderosa Road at an unknown rate of speed around 10:40 a.m. when the driver lost control of the car, CHP Officer Quinn Cuthbertson said. It struck the side embankment, spun, hit the embankment a second time and came to a rest in the center median.

The passenger, a female, could not remember what happened, CHP Officer Dan Stark noted. She and the male driver, both of Sacramento, were sent to Mercy Hospital in Folsom for unknown injuries.
