A blue Mustang was traveling northbound on Lotus Road at 12:53 p.m. when, according to witness statements, it drifted into oncoming traffic, a press release from Rescue Fire Department stated. The Mustang hit Engine 83, which had been returning from an early morning house fire on Pleasant Ranch Road.
The crew began immediate life support for the driver, who was then transported by air to Sutter Roseville Hospital. The crew received minor injuries.
