The El Dorado County Coroner’s Office announced Wednesday the cause of death of four boaters killed in a boating accident on Folsom Lake May 10.

James Strauch, 47, died of a cervical vertebral fracture — a broken neck. His body was recovered on May 16.
Toby Strauch, 54, also died of a broken neck. His body was recovered May 17.
Gerald Jacobs, 53, died of an aortic transection due to blunt force trauma to the chest. His body was recovered May 17.
Kenneth Smith, 48, died of a broken neck. His body was recovered May 19.
