The Transportation Division of El Dorado County’s Community Development Agency will implement lane closures on Cameron Park Drive from just south of U.S. Highway 50 to Hacienda Road that will result in one-lane of traffic controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. The lane closures will occur between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. during some nights, but not all, between June 9 and June 27.

The closures are necessary to ensure motorist and worker safety while the county’s contractor installs slurry seal and adds bike lane striping on Cameron Park Drive between Palmer Drive and Hacienda Road. The work will be performed at night to minimize traffic impacts during the peak hours of travel.
Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes around the area which also bypass the closure. Portable changeable message signs will be placed at each end of the work zone to keep motorists updated on the schedule for the closures.
The county sincerely appreciates the cooperation and patience of motorists that use these roadway facilities.
Questions regarding these temporary closures may be directed to Janel Gifford, the county’s resident engineer for this project, at 530-621-5974.
