The El Dorado Center offshoot of Folsom Lake College was evacuated Monday after a bomb scare.

El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies and the Los Rios Community College Police responded to the college at about 3:33 p.m. after a “suspicious item” was found taped to the side of a college building, an EDSO spokesman said. According to the LRCCPD log, the building was the wellness building on campus.

The item, according to EDSO, was a plastic pipe, 1 inch by 4-6 inches and was investigated by the EDSO Explosive Ordinance Disposal team. They determined it was not an explosive. The incident was concluded, according to the LRCCPD log, at 7:20 p.m.
