Community Action Council seeks new member

The Community Action Council is seeking an individual or agency to represent the interests and concerns of low-income individuals/families residing in El Dorado County, with special attention given to housing, nutrition and low-income program needs. The El Dorado County Community Action Council is seeking to fill a vacancy on the council within the Low-Income Sector Membership.

The purpose of the El Dorado County Community Action Council is to act in an advisory capacity to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors and the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency about the needs of the community on issues relating to human services for low-income residents of El Dorado County. The council provides an avenue for collaborative participation of local government, private organizations and private citizens of the community in serving the most vulnerable populations. Community agencies that serve El Dorado County residents are encouraged to apply for membership.
