Cleanup day set in EDH

El Dorado Hills Community Community Service District is sponsoring a community cleanup day Oct.  13.

This event provides residents of EDH a convenient place to discard old junk, green-waste, e-waste, and gently used household items.

Rain or shine, this event will be held at VPD, 4250 Town Center Blvd. West, El Dorado Hills, between the hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Donations are welcome but not required. Proceeds from this event benefit the CSD Community Supporting Youth Scholarship Program. This program provides funding for underprivileged kids who wish to participate in an aquatic, sports, art, or other program.

The following Items will not be accepted at this event:

Commercial waste, construction debris, such as drywall, HVAC materials, insulation, dimensional lumber, plumbing, plywood, rocks, tree stumps bigger than 30 inches in diameter, tires, water heaters, roofing material, siding, stucco foam. Landscape equipment (containing gas or oil), mattresses, box springs, sleeper sofas (mattress must be removed). Hazardous waste, of any kind, such as motor oil, propane cylinders, batteries, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, paint, solvents, pharmaceuticals of any kind, and chemicals of any kind.
