Mayor Wendy Mattson greeted the introduction of the resolution to change the meeting time at the Jan. 8 meeting with, “It’s a long day for city staff who already put a lot of hours with our shortened staff when a meeting goes to midnight and then they have to be in at work in the morning too, so this may help.”
The resolution to change the meeting time passed with a 5-0 vote. Councilwoman Carol Patton suggested an addition to the original resolution to include a policy that no new agenda topics of discussion would be introduced after 10 p.m. City Manager Cleve Morris said this policy would be presented to the council for approval at a later date.
